nmbello Studio is a commercial and artistic design studio founded by Nifemi Marcus-Bello. The practice is rooted in curiosity, humility, and a deep respect for both people and place.

Rather than imposing preconceived ideas onto the work, we embrace the process as it unfolds, allowing it to shape our designs organically. Over the years, we have learned that true innovation comes not from ego, but from a willingness to let go, observe, and respond with fresh eyes.

As a design studio based in Africa, we recognize the profound cultural and spiritual depth of the continent. African traditions emphasize respect—for individuals, for communities, and for the sacred nature of space and objects. We have come to understand that design, much like culture, thrives on humility and openness. By immersing ourselves in this ethos, we gain access to a wealth of knowledge and inspiration that cannot be dictated, only discovered.
