Installation design for 2019, LVMH (LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE) Fashion Prize nominee, Kenneth Ize.  

Inspired by the Kenneth Ize brand identity, the design team engaged traditional hand weavers in Lagos to create floor-to-ceiling, multi-coloured fringe as the installation's central motif - thus amplifying the brand's distinguishing use of fringe embellishments. Adapting to the user's interaction, the fringe served multiple purposes - barrier, filter, ornamentation, entrance, window. Central to all the experiences and of chief interest to the design team was touch. To touch the fringe was to feel the ethos of the collection before even seeing it. In this way, the process of entering was designed to provide a tactile cleansing/preparation of the viewer's palate before fully experiencing the collection itself.
