The redesigned TEBUR work desk, developed for Chalet African and manufactured in Madrid, represents a refined evolution of the original concept—tailored for a global context while maintaining its African design roots. Created with portability, intuitive assembly, and everyday practicality in mind, this latest iteration is destined for use in Gstaad, Switzerland, where design meets functionality in alpine elegance. One of the key innovations in the new TEBUR is its nesting leg mechanism: the legs slide neatly into each other. This allows for an ultra-compact form during transport, making the table easy to carry and store, especially useful for multi-use or seasonal spaces. Assembly remains tool-free—users simply slide the legs out and screw them into place in seconds, supporting a seamless and stress-free experience. The tabletop is made from high-quality marine plywood, selected for its superior durability, structural integrity, and resistance to environmental wear—ensuring longevity even in climates with fluctuating humidity and temperature. Adding to its stability is an innovative X-Frame brace beneath the tabletop, which distributes weight evenly and minimizes wobble, making the desk not only lightweight but also remarkably sturdy.
